Terms of Service.

1. Account Registration and Roles

To create an organization on UnitTally, you must register an account. You represent and warrant that the information you provide is accurate. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials.

Organizers (treasurers, administrators) control access levels for their members. You agree to oversee member activity and ensure compliance with these Terms.

2. Payment Processing & Stripe

UnitTally facilitates credit card processing via Stripe Connect Standard. By enabling online payments, you agree to Stripe's Services Agreement. UnitTally does not hold or store credit card numbers or campaign transaction payouts. All processed funds are delivered directly to your organization's connected Stripe account.

3. Platform Fees and Caps

UnitTally charges a transaction fee based on your subscription tier (Free, Plus, Pro). These fees are processed off the top via Stripe's application fee mechanism.

UnitTally caps fees per-transaction as detailed on our Pricing page. Manual transactions (cash/check/manual transfers) recorded in the console incur zero platform fees.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not violate any laws in your jurisdiction, including tax regulations, fundraising licensing rules, and consumer protection laws.

5. Content Ownership and Licenses

You retain all rights to any logo, text, or assets you upload to your storefront. You grant UnitTally a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content to deliver the Services.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UnitTally shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, United States, without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Monroe County, New York.
