How it works
From setup to pickup day, in one place.
UnitTally runs product sales, donations and sponsorships from the first shared link to the last delivery. Here’s how a typical fundraiser goes.
Phase 1
Set up
About an evening
Products, pages and every seller’s link, ready before you go live.
01
Set up the campaign
Add products, sizes, prices and a goal. Campaigns start as drafts, so you can preview the store before it goes live.
02
Publish pages for sponsors and FAQs
On Plus and Pro, write your own pages, like sponsors, FAQs and pickup details, with photos. Each campaign can have its own landing page.
03
Give every member a private link
Import your roster and invite each member by email. A parent or guardian manages the account for younger kids. Every member gets a private link and QR code, and we never build public directories.
Phase 2
Sell
Online, at the door, at the booth
Card and cash land in the same ledger, credited to the right seller.
04
Supporters check out as guests
Cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay, no account needed. One cart can hold items from several campaigns. An optional “cover the fees” box is off by default, and there’s never a tip prompt.
05
Log cash and checks in the same ledger
Record drop-offs in one place, with no UnitTally fee. Inventory, transactions and each member’s balance update on their own. Free transaction grants from wishlist shopping can cover UnitTally’s fee on card sales; Stripe’s processing fee still applies.
Phase 3
Deliver and report
From your phone
Pickup day without paper sort sheets, and a clean record for the board.
06
Run pickup day from your phone
Filter orders by member and mark items delivered in bulk, without printing paper sort sheets.
07
Keep a clean record for the board
Every buyer is listed once, with their purchases, seller credit and delivery status. Export a CSV for an audit anytime, with a full activity log.
Common questions.
More in the docs.
How long does setup take?
Add products, sizes, prices and a goal, then preview the store before it goes live. Add your roster and pages, and you can be ready in an evening. Walk through your first campaign in the docs.
Do kids need their own accounts?
No. Every member on your roster gets a private link that credits their sales, with or without an account. Members can also have a private account, and a parent or guardian manages it for younger kids. The link never carries the seller’s name.
Can we take cash and checks?
Yes. Log them in the same ledger as card sales, credited to the seller, with no UnitTally fee.
Do supporters need an account to buy?
No account needed. They check out as guests with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
What does a card sale cost?
Two separate fees: UnitTally’s capped platform fee and Stripe’s processing fee, both charged on your own Stripe account. Your first 10 online sales carry no UnitTally fee. See pricing or run your own numbers.
